Intimate Summer Wedding
Haley and Ted’s intimate summer wedding at river valley oasis in Granite Falls Washington was a day to remember. Not only was the sun out and the flowers in bloom, but everyone was so excited and ready to see these two tie the knot. One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is watching all the guests surrounded the couple and shower them with so much love. For Haley and Ted the love was felt so deeply from everyone there.
About the Bride and Groom
Haley and Ted met online in 2020 during Covid times. They bonded over their love of the great outdoors and love hiking, camping and walking with their pup Mylo. Having an outdoor venue that reflects the beauty Washington has to offer was important to them.
River Valley Oasis Wedding Venue
River Valley Oasis located in Granite Falls Washington is a stunning wedding venue for those who want an intimate and organic feel. Being on the river you get a gorgeous wedding ceremony backdrop. Both Haley and Ted had separate getting ready quarters. This provided them with time and space to take in the beginning of their wedding day and relax with their groomsman and bridesmaids.
Blue Garden Wedding Theme
Haley and Ted curated their intimate summer wedding with the blue garden theme. The bridesmaids were in the most beautiful shades of blue, the maid of honor in a blue floral print dress. The decor was personalized and colorful on all the reception tables. The centerpieces had stunning garden flowers creating eye catching baby blue bouquets. Everything about the soft blue garden vibes was stunning and left me gasping as I laid eyes on it all.
First Look Location
For their first look they decided to do it leading towards the ceremony site on the bridge. This was such a beautiful spot surrounding them with beautiful PNW trees and foliage. We ended up taking group photos of family and the bridal party right next to this spot. I loved how many intimate backdrops they had here to take wedding portraits at with a PNW feel.
Wedding Ceremony with River Views
The ceremony took place at the spot by the river. They had family and the wedding party walk down first and seeing Ted’s sisters walk down as flower girls had many tears flowing. As Haley walked down the aisle all heads turned to see the beautiful bride. During their personal vows almost everyone was choked up by how sweet, emotional and strong they were. Haley and Ted have hearts of gold and it was incredible to watch these soulmates commit their lives to each other.
Reception Entrance Entertainment
The grand entrance to the reception on site at River Valley Oasis was one for the books. Each pair walked into to a fun upbeat song, while working a choreographed dance or move. Everyone was clapping and cheering them on, it was so fun! Haley and Ted danced in with a lift spin that had everyone on their feet. Having your wedding party enter in with specific special songs or choreographed dance moves gives your guests an extra bit of excitement waiting for the bride and groom to enter!
Golden Hour Portraits
We only had a few minutes for bride and groom portraits at golden hour but we made the most of it! My favorite time of day for portraits is golden hour with that gorgeous Washington glow. I snagged the newlyweds right after dinner before speeches. Haley and Ted were beaming from the first moments of their imitate summer wedding day so they were all smiles for their portraits. During portraits I made sure to get a good variety of posed and active shots. Giving a good variety to enjoy. We used our time wisely and had many epic wedding day photos from different spots on the venue. I was so happy!
Special Wedding Speeches
To close out the night they had speeches from loved ones. I love speeches because while most people aren’t public speakers these words are coming from the heart and seeing the emotion felt by everyone at the wedding is so moving. More tears flowed while laughs followed.
Intimate Wedding Reception
Cake cutting and dancing came next. Haley and Ted really wanted photos with everyone at their intimate summer wedding at river valley oasis so they decided to do a group photo dash. This involved the DJ calling out each table number, one at a time, to join haley and ted on the dance floor for a group photo. This all took place during one song so it was a fun activity for everyone to do! They all danced the night away and had enjoyed the s’mores bar to close out the night.

It’s Your Day went above and beyond to make sure every detail was in it’s place before, during and after the wedding day. They were arranging flowers and center pieces before guests arrived, kept the timeline moving smoothly so nothing was rushed, always checked in with the vendor team and overall made the day a great experience for everyone.

Clearly Hanna knows what she’s doing, everyone looked amazing.
The food was delicious! The catering staff was timely and so friendly throughout the day.
