Michelle and Brandon’s boho Costa Rica destination wedding was SO special! Michelle is my cousin and I’ve looked up to her my entire life! So being able to capture her wedding was near and dear to my heart. One of my moms grew up in Cape Cod Massachusetts and my Mom and Michelle’s Mom are sisters, out of 6 siblings total! Each summer we’d all meet up for a week on Cape Cod and being from Washington I always looked forward to spending the summer with my cool older cousins!
Michelle and I were really close so it was such a special honor when she asked me to be their photographer for such a momentous day. Michelle and Brandon are a goofy fun couple and it was magical to see her commit to someone who is perfect for her!
Costa Rica Destination Wedding Venue
Michelle and Brandon had their Costa Rica wedding at Arenas Del Mar beachfront luxury resort in Manuel Antonio Costa Rica! This wedding venue was jaw-droppingly gorgeous! The Arenas Del Mar resort is tucked away where the rainforest meets the ocean. It is the perfect wedding venue for anyone looking to tie the knot in the serenity of nature. I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was especially during sunset. The sunsets here in Costa Rica are so dramatic and colorful, I was in complete awe! Whether you are planning on getting married at Arenas Del Mar luxury resort or just visiting Costa Rica for vacation I would highly recommend staying here it is so peaceful and any adventure couple’s dream!
Couples Love Story
Michelle and Brandon’s love story screams Costa Rica and Boho vibes. They actually met at a reggae night at a bar! Michelle didn’t want to give out her number to a stranger so she told Brandon he could meet her for yoga class the next morning and he did! They did their class and got coffee afterward and the rest is history!
Costa Rica Destination Wedding Details
Michelle and Brandon’s Costa Rica destination wedding was one to remember! They invited only their closest friends and family. We all stayed together in 2 villas, it was so much fun because we all got to know each other and became friends by the end of it. One of my favorite things about shooting weddings and elopements is that even if I already know the couple I also get to become close to their family and friends!
Throughout the weekend we got to choose different excursions such as a waterfall tour, ATV tour, beach days, zip lining, and SO much more! I was in heaven! Who knew that I’d be going off on adventures as well as shooting their wedding? It was a blast!
OH and the food!! Don’t get me started! We had personal chefs making our breakfasts and dinners, and the juice was all fresh… unreal. It was all SO GOOD! I still dream about it!
Anyway back on track to Michelle and Brandon and their wedding day! Michelle and Brandon had visited Costa Rica and Peru on a vacation previously and had fallen in love with Costa Rica, so they knew it was going to be their wedding destination right from the beginning! They wanted to celebrate their wedding in Costa Rica and show their friends and family how magical it was and is to them. They envisioned having a low-key beach wedding with their loved ones in a location they both loved and made memories in.

Michelle and Brandon’s Costa Rica destination wedding was truly so intimate and special and having everyone basically vacation together made it so much cooler because we all got to know each other and celebrate them in a more connected way!
I’m so happy and grateful Michelle and Brandon allowed me to be a part of their destination wedding! Their entire wedding day and vacation were filled with so much love and happiness from all their friends and family. I will always remember what a special day this was!
