Whimsical Garden Wedding at Briarwood Estate

Emily and Derek put together such a stunning wedding on the garden grounds of Briarwood Estate in Mount Vernon, Washington. Understandably if you know me, you know garden venues have a special place in my heart. Frolicking through the flowers on a gorgeous Summer night with the sun glowing through the trees will take my breath away. That’s exactly what Emily and Derek got on their Whimsical Garden Wedding at Briarwood Estate.

About the Bride and Groom

After meeting on a camping trip and building a life together for 8 years Emily and Derek tied the knot. Their love for each other and their wonderful friends and family shined through each part of their wedding day. The thoughtful details, the energy and genuine love from their wedding party and the fun on the dance floor proved it. The bride and groom are Washington State University graduates they had special deserts from their college town and made sure to get a group photo with their collage friends holding the school flag. It was such an energizing group!

Their Garden Wedding Details

Briarwood Estate naturally has stunning grounds that seem to go on and on forever. A true photographers dream! Around every corner there are so many little hideaways to photograph the couple. For portraits, a private first look, and a secluded moment to sign their marriage license. In the main areas they tastefully decorated with soft blues and pastels. Their guests were taken along the paths starting with the ceremony site and flowing into the reception area. There were secret gardens for them to wander during cocktail hour and cheer the bride and groom on while they celebrated with a champagne tower. The venue is truly laid out so beautifully, taking so much space and making it feel secluded at the same time.
