Perfect Summer Wedding
When I think of a dreamy, colorful, natural summer wedding I think of Brooke and Ken. They hosted an amazing Wildflower Leavenworth Wedding at The Sleeping Lady resort and venue. What I love about this venue is you can have your guests stay right there on site in the cabins. So all their friends and family were close all day as they prepped and celebrated their wedding day!
Wildflower Leavenworth Wedding
Brooke and Ken went colorful in the classiest way. Their centerpieces included wildflower bud vases with beautiful buds. Their name cards for guests were displayed along the outside of the venue adding a personal and colorful touch to the outside area. Brooke choose to forgo to white and wore a PINK WEDDING DRESS! I was in awe of her amazing choice as pink has always been my favorite. Such a fun and personal touch to their wildflower Leavenworth wedding day!
That Special Touch
One thing I loved about this day is it felt so chill and so tailored to Brooke and Ken. When I first started talking to them they made it clear they didn’t want a traditional wedding. They didn’t need the generic wedding day customs. Instead they wanted their Leavenworth wedding to feel like a casual party for them to enjoy with their favorite people. Festivities started with a first look but they kept it casual without any grand turns or taps on the shoulder. For their ceremony they had multiple friends share words and stories about the couple. Watching Brooke and Ken throughout the day interacting with their loved ones it was clear they all share a special bond and care so deeply for them. It was so special!
Sentimental Wedding Ceremony
Like I mentioned Brooke and Ken choose to have 5 friends officiate their wedding ceremony. They each had a story or bit to share about the couple and their journey together. It was a unique wedding ceremony being guided by them all so perfectly. It was cool to hear about how Brooke and Ken made it to this point from their loved ones perspective. If you’re wanting to have a unique wedding ceremony consider doing this!
Laid Back Cocktail Hour
The Leavenworth Washington sunshine glowed over Brooke and Kens cocktail hour. The Sleeping Lady Resort has a beautiful lawn for cocktail hour right next to the ceremony spot. I love how easy and close everything is. Brooke and Ken mingled with their friends and family, soaking in the summer wedding day sun and enjoying their time together. They requested group photos and portraits of guests so we had the best time walking around, grabbing these shots as well as many candids. Everyone was dressed in bright pastel colors fitting this wildflower Leavenworth wedding theme beautifully!
Sweet Speeches
Were there tears? Yes. Were there big laughs? Yes. Speeches bring out all the emotions. Brooke and Ken had a few friends say some words. Also their parents and siblings shared speeches. It was wonderful hearing from everyone and all the support they have for Brooke and Ken.
Dance the Night Away
What’s better than wrapping up a wildflower Leavenworth wedding by dancing the night away? Starting with a first dance and parent dances, then the floor opened up and everyone got down! Brooke shed her dress overlay which gave her a second wedding dress look. Rounding out the night, played all the throwback songs we know and love which keep everyone out of the dance floor.
Final Thoughts
This was my second time at The Sleeping Lady and it never disappoints. If you’re wanting a PNW Washington Wedding venue that offers gorgeous views, outdoor and indoor options, accommodations and much more this is a great option. Indeed Brooke and Ken’s wildflower wedding day was one for the books and I was so honored to document it all for them!
