Hey friend! I’m so thrilled to share a recent engagement session dripping with old money style, captured for our lovely friends in Olympia Washington! This photoshoot oozed timeless romance, with such a classic location to provide the perfect backdrop. Alex and Sasha had two classic outfit options for their engagement photos which gives a great variety to their engagement gallery. It was the perfect photoshoot to capture their love as they prepare for their wedding day!

Indoor Grand

Our journey began indoors, exploring the venue’s stunning balcony and regal staircase. There were many epic pockets here to photograph in. The light reflecting off the marble floors and walls created a truly breathtaking scene for these two. Who doesn’t love the classic marble?! The couple’s love story unfolded effortlessly in these grand surroundings, and we captured every precious moment.

Dreamy Haze

To create this hazy effect over these photos I used tights. Yes women’s skin color tights over my camera lens! Does it not perfectly add to these classic engagement photos?! I love using this little trick to add a different feel to a handful of photos for the gallery. Other things to hold in front of your lens for different effects are: flowers, crystals, or plastic wrap!

Garden Enchantment

Venturing outside to the gardens felt like we stepped into a fairytale. The couple strolled hand-in-hand, soaking up the overcast light. This diffused light created a magical and romantic atmosphere, making the photos truly unforgettable. You may think you need sunshine in order for good photos. That’s not at all the case. Overcast weather provides perfect, even lighting to create soft and beautiful engagement or wedding day photos.

Capturing Love Stories

Witnessing their love and connection shine through their timeless and classic engagement photos was an absolute joy.
