I have not stopped dreaming about Annika and Tim’s Christianson’s Nursery wedding day! Christianson’s Nursery is an absolutely stunning wedding venue and both Annika and Tim were the cutest, sweetest couple! They had very genuine love and respect for each other that you could feel every minute of the day. Everyone was happy for them and were just beyond excited to be a part of their special day.
Christianson’s Nursery Wedding Venue
Christianson’s Nursery & Greenhouse is the perfect wedding venue if you are looking to have a garden wedding. When Annika and Tim told me they chose this as their wedding venue I was jumping off my seat in excitement. If you know me you know I love garden weddings and this venue is a gorgeous one!
Christianson’s Nursery is located right off of the I-5 corridor and sits among the Skagit Valley farmlands. What I loved most about this wedding venue was that everywhere you looked it was green! It was such a gorgeous location to watch the sunset as well! Right over the town of La Conner and the San Juan Islands you could see views of Mount Baker and see the sun setting with vibrant colors. It was stunning! It’s such an intimate and romantic setting for any wedding and I was beyond excited to capture Annika and Tim running around the venue’s beautiful gardens and glass greenhouses throughout the day.
Couples Love Story
Annika and Tim met through their Campus Christian Fellowship (CCF) at WWU. Annika and Tim began talking after Annika made the first move and asked him out for coffee. From the beginning they were inseparable! Annika had mentioned that they were just at peace being together. They had fallen in love pretty quickly and talked about marriage only after a few months of dating each other and the rest was history!
When Annika told me how Tim proposed I was dying of laughter and smiling nonstop! Tim proposed by taking her back to one of their first date spots, which was a nude beach (they went unknowingly the first time and it has been a joke with them ever since). They walked along Larabee and the waters around the Chuckanuts, and she said it was absolute perfection! The sun was setting on the water so it was that beautiful golden shimmery color, and while she was out ahead of Tim on a rock by the water, she had turned around and Tim was down on his knee and proposed! SO CUTE! They’ve been together for over 3 years now! Love stories like this make me tear up as you can tell they were meant for each other!
Wedding Itinerary
Annika and Tim were relaxed the entire day for their wedding day. They started off with getting ready photos with their wedding parties and then the sweetest first look! I love when couples decide to not only do first looks with each other but with their bridesmaids and the father of the bride as well. The mix of reactions from everyone always get me!
Following the first look, we wandered around Christianson’s Nursery and took some bride and groom portraits before the wedding ceremony. Annika and Tim were laughing non-stop and had the biggest smiles on their faces it made for the perfect candid photo opportunity!
Wedding Ceremony
After the bride and groom portraits was their Christianson’s Nursery wedding ceremony where they broke bread and were prayed over. While I was shooting their wedding ceremony I stood there in complete awe of the backdrop and greenery surrounding them. Christianson’s Nursery is truly the perfect location for a garden wedding and the weather made it ten times more perfect as there was not a single cloud in the sky!
One of the many things I loved after Annika and Tim’s wedding day was that at Christianson’s Nursery & Garden, was a schoolhouse that ended up being used for the bar during the reception, it was such a cute intimate spot for mingling! And of course, everyone including me roamed the venue checking out their gorgeous flowers and scenery during this time. I mean who wouldn’t? There is so much beauty at Christianson’s Nursery that you can’t miss out on seeing.
Lastly, Annika and Tim’s Christianson’s Nursery wedding day ended with a dance party. You could feel the love and joy while everyone was out on the dance floor and having so much fun! This is one of my favorite moments of any wedding day as I love seeing everyone dancing with pure joy. I mean who doesn’t love music and dance parties?
Following the dance party was the sparkler exit! Sparkler exits are such a fun and creative way to end your reception on a high note and involve all of your guests. Watching Annika and Tim’s family and friends send them off was such a sweet moment to see. Everyone was so excited for them to finally be married.

Final Thoughts
Annika and Tim’s Christianson’s Nursery wedding was a dream to capture! I’m so happy and grateful Annika and Tim allowed me to be a part of their garden wedding! I loved this wedding venue and the couple so much and am so excited to see where life takes them!
