I can hardly contain my excitement! My best friends are having a baby! Rachel and I have been best friends since elementary school, we’ve been through it all together. So now to witness her on her way to motherhood is so special! Her and Alex wanted to announce their pregnancy with some special photos celebrating this new capture. So we decided to do a in home pregnancy announcement photoshoot to commemorate!
In Home Variety for Your Photos
We started in their most used room of the home, their living room. I wanted to get a variety of sitting poses so I started them sitting on the floor, then Rachel moving up to sit on the couch, and finishing with them sitting together. They had their record player going and we moved over there for some action shots of them dancing to picking a new record. Notice the color of the record?! It may or may not be the giveaway to whether they’re having a boy or a girl!
From the Beginning
Like I mentioned before, Rachel and I have been friends since elementary school. I met Alex through my brother (they were in a band together) and after going to prom together senior year they’ve been together ever since! They’ve made it through long distance, college, Law school, moves, and now they’re bringing a sweet baby boy into the world! We’re all so excited!
All the Options
This home holds special memories so I wanted to make sure we got some outdoor photos as well. We got wide as they posed on the deck and then snuggled them up in the corner leaning on the railing. Having the option of shooting indoor and outdoor is wonderful because it gives a great variety in the final photo gallery.
Pregnancy Announcement Photoshoot
I don’t photograph in home sessions often but when I do I always leave feeling inspired. Rachel and Alex invited me into their home which was the perfect backdrop for this in home pregnancy announcement photoshoot.
