Gorgeous Oregon Coast Elopement at Cannon Beach

Emily and Jessalyn’s Oregon coast elopement was one to remember! It was a gorgeous September fall day on the coast at Hug Point, Cannon Beach! I was so happy that Emily and Jessalyn decided on eloping at Cannon Beach as this location is such a beautiful and secluded spot to elope! 

Oregon Coast Elopement Locations

Hug Point is located near Cannon Beach, perfect for couples who want to exchange vows in a romantic and intimate setting! Hug Point is a beach cove that is surrounded by towering cliffs and lush greenery. It features a unique rock formation that creates a natural archway over the beach, making it the perfect backdrop for any special day. The beach itself is made up of soft sand and small pebbles, providing a comfortable place to stand during your ceremony. This is what Emily and Jessalyn had done! 

But the beauty of Hug Point doesn’t end with its scenery! This beach also offers plenty of activities for couples who want to make their elopement even more memorable. You can explore the tide pools at low tide or take a romantic stroll along the shoreline. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even go kayaking or paddleboarding in the nearby waters! 

The best part about eloping at Hug Point is that there are several options available! You can choose to have an intimate ceremony with just the two of you or invite a few close friends and family members to join in on the celebration! Emily and Jessalyn decided on having an intimate elopement with a couple of their friends who were SO supportive of them! And we can’t forget about their cute pup they brought along as well!

Elopement Itinerary 

Emily and Jessalyn’s arrived the night before and stayed in Seaside which is about 15 minutes from Cannon Beach. We started their Oregon coast elopement off with a touching first look. They were both so in awe of each other and couldn’t stop smiling. It was the sweetest moment of the day aside from their elopement ceremony where they exchanged powerful vows that had everyone tearing up, including me!

After we captured Emily and Jessalyn running all over the beach and even getting a little wet from the tide. It was so much fun watching them laugh and enjoy such a beautiful day together. They had no care in the world.

Emily and Jessalyn’s Oregon coast elopement was so special to capture as I shot her and Jessalyn’s engagement photos about a year before their elopement! They originally were planning a large wedding in Portland, where Jessalyn is from, but because of COVID, they decided to change plans. For a second they were planning a destination Hawaii wedding but ultimately ended up on the Oregon Coast with their closest friends! All that mattered to them was the love they had for each other and having those they loved surrounding them. It was so special to witness them coming together for such a big moment in their life. The support and love from their friends were so powerful!

Final Thoughts 

I loved being able to not only capture Emily and Jessalyn’s engagement but elopement as well! Being a part of such momentous moments in my couple’s lives fills my heart!
