Snowy Winter Wedding at the Olsen Mansion
I’ve had my eye on the Olsen Manor and had been dreaming of shooting there for a while. When Hannah and Preston said they were getting married there I was ecstatic! I met Hannah and Preston Spring 2024. Preston found me and booked me to photograph their surprise proposal at the tulip fields. We planned and prepped for me to be at the proposal site and wait for Preston to get down on one knee to snap the big moment to minimize Hannah’s suspicions. It worked and he pulled off a perfect proposal! If you want to see more from the tulip fields click here!
We had so much fun at their proposal that they asked me to photograph their wedding day too! It’s always so meaningful to be asked to capture another big event for my couples, especially their wedding! They chose a mid February Friday to tie the knot and it ended up being the most dreamy Snowy Winter Wedding at the Olsen Mansion!

A Winter Wonderland
Of course the week of their wedding the greater Seattle area got hit with its one and only snow storm. Hannah and Preston had family and friends flying in from out of town and of course were worried about the weather. You really never know what Washington weather will do! Thankfully it cleared up enough for everyone to make it safely and enjoy the day. The snow still covering the ground made for an extra special touch to their wedding day!

Classic Colors
Hannah and Preston opted for their wedding party to wear black dresses and suits. I don’t see black often but think it’s so classy and timeless. Keeping everyone in the same color, especially black, elevated their winter wedding feel. I love a classy vibe and was so excited to see the stunning fits the wedding party was wearing.

A Beautiful First Look
One of my favorite parts of the day was their first look. There’s a gorgeous area on the side on the manor where Preston waited patiently for Hannah to walk out and to see each other for the first time. They had a beautiful moment together before exchanging private vows. It was so special and they both were so happy and excited to finally be together.

A Memorable Celebration
The indoor ceremony was backdropped by the snow with the open doors. How often do you get snow on your wedding day, I’ll still never get over it! After the ceremony they signed their marriage license and Hannah had a little surprise up her sleeve. She chopped her hair before her wedding portraits and surprised Preston! It was SO FUN to watch her do this and to see Prestons face at the grand reveal! Everyone got a kick out of it too as they entered the reception too!

The Beginning of Forever
After snowy wedding portraits and dinner the party geared up! What a fun bunch this was! The dance floor was full all night! Everyone was so happy and excited for the sweet couple. To end the night Hannah and Preston had a private last dance. Both of them were so sweet and really took in the moment together. Then they were sent off with a bubble exit surrounded by their loved ones. What a special Snowy Winter Wedding at the Olsen Mansion it was!
Sweet Words From the Bride
