Twin Willow Gardens Summer Wedding: Josie and Ross

Twin Willow Gardens Summer Wedding

Kicking off this wedding season with a stunning Twin Willow Gardens Summer Wedding was amazing. Josie and Ross planned an elegant celebration highlighting elaborate florals that highlighted the already beautiful grounds of Pine Creek Nursery. I was lucky enough to photograph a small wedding here in 2020 and was so thrilled to be back to celebrate Josie and Ross. Twin Willow Gardens is a perfect garden wedding venue in Snohomish Washington, I recommend it to my couples whenever they’re looking for a romantic and enchanting wedding venue.

Pastel Garden Wedding

Josie and Ross really knew how to bring the elegance of a classic garden wedding into this great PNW venue. The florals were a stand out, tying the vision together. A La Chloe covered the ceremony site in the perfect pastels to line the aisle and frame the alter. I walked up and my jaw dropped at her masterpiece! Twin Willow Gardens has a beautiful forested ceremony site tucked behind the reception area. I love this set up because it feels like you’re entering a whole new world. Adding the florals brought in so much color and design to really transform the space. Not only did the flowers adorn the wedding ceremony site but all the reception tables as well. The pastel colors matched the yellow glass goblets and beautiful tables capes. This Twin Willow Gardens Summer Wedding was truly brought to life with these florals.

If you’re dreaming of a similar pastel garden wedding vibe for your own wedding focusing on florals and the color of your details is key. Even including floral patterns on signage and fabrics (think tablecloths or napkins) can make a big difference tying everything together. Using pastel colored florals and repurposing ceremony floral installations around your head table or photo booth areas are a great way to keep the florals flowing through each part of your day.

Also choosing the right venue will help bring your pastel garden wedding dreams to life. Garden venues like Twin Willow Gardens will already have a stunning backdrop and feeling that won’t even require much more decoration. I’ve loved photographing weddings at many new garden venues here in Washington. If you’re in the middle of venue hunting and need some recommendations reach out!

The Beginning of the Day

Josie and Ross booked me for eight hours of coverage for their Twin Willow Gardens Summer Wedding. When we arrived we found both the bride and groom getting ready in their personal suites on site at the venue. It’s so nice when venues provide getting ready spaces for couples. This means one less thing to plan or think about. If your venue doesn’t provide spaces for this other options include getting ready at home or at an airbnb close to the venue before arriving.

Once Josie and Ross were dressed and ready they saw each other for the first time with a first look in the gardens. First looks are always so sweet on wedding days. They took a few minutes to soak in the moment and relax together before the big events of the day. It was so sweet to watch!

Portraits were up next. We started with a few of just the two of them before jumping into wedding party and family photos. Everyone was so sweet and excited to be with the couple, there was so much love surrounding them. The sun was blaring and hot on this summer wedding day so everyone took turns standing in the garden shade between portraits. In the middle of the summer it can be super warm so having fans on hand and taking breaks between things is crucial!

A Fairytale Ceremony

This Twin Willow Gardens Summer Wedding continued with the main event: the ceremony. Once all the guests were seated the 3 part orchestra played the most romantic tunes to welcome the wedding party down the aisle and finally our stunning bride Josie. Her grandfather waited for her at the top of the aisle as she made her grand entrance down the forest path. The way her family, especially her grandparents were looking at her and beaming all day was so heartwarming. They linked arms and walked down the flower filled aisle to Ross who was smiling and ready to marry his love.

The ceremony was sweet and romantic, celebrating their love and sharing more about them to their guests. I love when officiants cover the couples story and mention personal details to them. Like how Josie and Ross met, their love for their pets and their weekly date nights.

The Perfect Ending

The party continued into cocktail hour and the reception as Josie switched up her hairstyle and guests enjoyed the signature cocktails named after their pups and mingled among the gardens. The speeches after dinner were so thoughtful and heartfelt, there were many wet eyes and belly laughs throughout. Josie and Ross were celebrated whole-heartedly and surrounded by so much love.

The night ended with first dances, ice cream, photo booth posing and dancing on the dance floor. The ice cream cart was a huge hit among the guests. Not only was it super cute and fit the Twin Willow Gardens Summer Wedding vibes perfectly but the ice cream selection was  unique and delicious! We took a few more golden hour garden wedding portraits with just guests to end the night.
