Mackenzie and Josh’s Rosario Beach Engagement Session 

Mackenzie and Josh’s Rosario Beach engagement session was a perfect Washington Spring day! They were so sweet and SO in love. From the beginning, I knew Mackenzie and Josh’s engagement session would be so much fun to capture because of how Mackenzie explained their love story! 

Couples Love Story 

The couple met through mutual friends at a bowling alley and instantly clicked! Mackenzie said she never thought she could fall in love with someone so quickly but through endless adventures, Skype calls, and hammocking, they began their life together! Like how cute is that?! It was basically love at first sight! 

Mackenzie said that on New Year’s of 2021, Josh looked at her and said “How does it feel to know you will be engaged this year?” And she figured he would propose on her birthday in December, in her own words she said “because he loves making her wait”. But instead on June 4th, he took her whale watching and to the beach which is her favorite thing to do and he popped the question at the beach! She said she had no idea he would ask her and was shocked the rest of the day! 

When Mackenzie told me this I was in awe, they have such a strong love and connection for each other! I knew that their Rosario Beach engagement session was going to be an incredible experience to capture with them both and it was! 

Rosario Beach Engagement Location

I was so excited when Mackenzie and Josh told me they wanted to have their engagement session at Rosario Beach Park because of its stunning natural beauty! The Rosario Beach Park is located in Deception Pass State Park in Anacortes, Washington. It’s known for its mild climate and beautiful scenery. On this day it was a bit chilly but sunny enough to get some gorgeous and bright photos!

Rosario Beach Park offers a variety of backdrops, from the rocky shoreline to the lush forest and meadows! Couples can choose to have their photos taken in front of the iconic Deception Pass Bridge or on the beach itself. We made sure to explore all over from the park, to the cliffside views and of course the beach. It was so much fun watching Mackenzie and Josh run around all over the state park full of laughter!

Couple Portraits 

What I loved most about Mackenzie and Josh’s Rosario Beach engagement was that they clearly love to have fun together and were up for just about anything! They also brought a few different outfits to give different looks! Options are always great to have for engagement shoots and something I always like to recommend to my couples! You can go from casual to formal, or dressy to relaxed! This will give you a range of photos that capture different sides of your relationship!

I was so excited when Mackenzie reach out and asked me to shoot their engagement session as I already knew her from my best friend’s husband! It was truly such a special day and I am so grateful they chose me as their Washington engagement photographer!
