Whimsical Engagement Photoshoot
My sweet sister Stephanie and her beautiful fiancé Lucy came to visit from Portland and we had to squeeze in a whimsical engagement photoshoot for them. I wanted these photos to reflect them as a couple and their overall style. We ended up going to a local Seattle park mid day for their dreamy engagement photos.
My Sister Stephanie
I met my sister back in 2020 right before everything shut down. For those who don’t know I was raised by two incredible moms and through our sperm donor I have 18 half siblings and counting. Stephanie was one of the first sisters I met in person. It was such a surreal and special experience meeting her along with my donor dad and two other sisters. Over these past few years we’ve gotten to know each other a bit more and it’s been the biggest joy capturing these big life moments for them, like these engagement photos!
The Brides to Be
Stephanie and Lucy met a few years back online. From the very beginning they both knew it was the real deal. How sweet is that! They both proposed to each other. Lucy to Stephanie at Disneyland and Stephanie to Lucy over Thanksgiving weekend surrounded by their family at on a cozy cabin getaway. Now they are planning their epic wedding day for next year. They shared a few of their personalized wedding ideas.. let me just say it’s going to be so magical!
Seattle Sun
While Stephanie and Lucy were visiting they had many Seattle spots they wanted to check out. We decided to shoot mid day and the sun was out and shining! This direct light made for some fun and creative photos for this whimsical engagement photoshoot. I enjoy photographing in all types of light as it can change a photo and make it feel so different.
