Kraig and Micah’s Suncadia Resort Proposal Photoshoot

As a Seattle-based engagement and wedding photographer, I am fortunate to witness and capture some of life’s most heartfelt moments! In August I had the honor of photographing a breathtaking summer proposal at the stunning Suncadia Resort. Kraig and Micah’s proposal photoshoot was so much fun to capture it was filled with surprises, joy, and an abundance of love!

Suncadia Resort: A Picturesque Paradise

Nestled in the serene beauty of Washington’s Cascade Mountains, Suncadia Resort provided the perfect backdrop for Kraig’s meticulously planned proposal. With its lush landscapes, towering evergreens, and picturesque scenery, Suncadia exudes romance and elegance. It’s an ideal location for a proposal or engagement shoot!

The Sister’s Heartfelt Request

I had the pleasure of working closely with Kraig’s sister, who reached out to me in secret to ensure this proposal photoshoot would be flawlessly captured. Her love for her brother and Micah was evident, and her assistance in planning and coordinating the surprise proposal was invaluable! We were both so excited to see it all turn out so perfectly! 

Kraig and Micah’s Love Story

Kraig and Micah’s love for each other was apparent. They have been together for a significant period, with Micah becoming a huge part of Kraig’s family. Suncadia Resort held special significance as Kraig’s family reunites here annually. This magical destination was not only picturesque but also held cherished memories. It was the perfect location to capture another beautiful chapter in their lives!

The Heartwarming Surprise

On the day of the proposal, Kraig’s family and Micah’s parents eagerly awaited the momentous occasion. After Kraig dropped to one knee and asked Micah to spend forever with him, the family emerged from their hiding places, enveloping the newly engaged couple in so much love and overwhelming joy. Tears of happiness flowed, creating an emotional atmosphere. I was tearing up myself, it was such a beautiful moment to capture and experience.  

Adding an extra touch of sweetness to the proposal, Kraig and Micah’s fur baby played a significant role. Adorned with a charming bandana that read “married,” the beloved pet stole hearts as they celebrated this remarkable milestone. It was a heartwarming reminder of the love and connection they share as a family!

With the breathtaking backdrop of Suncadia, the presence of their loved ones, and their adorable fur baby, their special day will forever be etched in their hearts and captured in photographs! It was an absolute joy to be part of their journey, and I am grateful for the opportunity to witness and document such a remarkable moment in their lives!

Being part of Kraig and Micah’s extraordinary day was an honor I will forever cherish. Witnessing their love story and preserving the raw emotions and precious moments through my lens was an absolute joy.
